Public Meeting, 10th January 2008
SEVEN YEARS ON
It is seven years since the disastrous floods in Lewes, and most of the town is at greater risk now than it was then.
Are you worried about:
- Building on the flood plain?
- What climate change means for our flood risk?
- Slow progress in building defences?
- Insuring your property, now and in the future?
- Emergency plans and community preparedness in the event of another flood?
The meeting will inform you what Lewes Flood Action has done, and what we feel still needs to be done. There will be an opportunity to discuss your concerns with Norman Baker MP and representatives of the Environment Agency, Local Authorities and the Insurance Industry.
Immediately after the discussion, Lewes Flood Action will hold its AGM, when there will be an opportunity for you to become more actively involved.
We have prepared a Report and Review, which you can read here, in advance of the meeting.
We are here for your benefit. Come and meet us.
At: Lewes Town Hall
On: Thursday 10th January at 7:30 pm.
